  I really enjoyed having Professor Wheeler. He is willing to listen and take accommodations. He also gives plenty of work from home days which at the end of the semester really help! 10/10 would recommend.

  Professor Wheeler is such a driven journalist that I feel honored to be in his class. It really is what you make of it, because if you view the assignments as busy work you won't take much out. He teaches mainly through giving journalistic assignments so it's pretty hands on. He has resources and it is based on the final. Will 100% take again.

  Professor Wheeler is a really kind man who cares about his students. Class is divided into two groups and each group presents once a week about a nugget of information from the textbook. It is pretty easy and we also have to submit a youtube video every week on whatever topic you choose. It is a very fun class!

  Wheeler is an enthusiastic guy and you can tell he's passionate about his career and knowledge which I can appreciate. Issues: guest speakers teach for him, he didn't teach 1 lesson. makes you live stream in class even if everyone is clearly uncomfortable with it. he is reusing his undergrad course and masking it as this MASTERS degree course.

  The nicest professor ever honestly. His class is so chill and easy. Always lets the class leave early and relates to his students. He's super passionate about journalism and gives helpful and encouraging feedback. No tests and you have all semester to complete the final.

  David is by far my favorite professor I've ever had. He's so chill and caring about his students. You will have to do group projects every week, which may sound scar, but trust me it's not. All you'll have to do in this group is make 3 extremely simples slides. You split the textbook up and only have to read like 2 pages a week. Love him.

  350 characters are simply just not enough to describe how terrible Professor Wheeler is. Honestly, let's not even refer to this tool as a professor. The final is 10 essays that must be 500 words each and you need to color-code each section. David Wheeler is so lazy that you must highlight for him what is personal opinion and what is from the book.

  Amazing professor. He is honestly a jem. You learn so much but can also get an A which I feel in other cases its one or the other. He is one of those professors that actually cares about his students and builds professional relationships with many of them. Everyone should take him if they have the opportunity to.

  Amazing professor! Doctor Wheeler knows how to teach you the real world things that actually matter. He sets his class in a way that you decide which letter grade you want to receive in the end of the semester, which I think is super fair! Take him if you love journalism and communication

  Wheeler was my favorite professor. He really cares about his students and is dedicated to helping them succeed. He often ends class early by 30 mins to an hour. You can always meet with him after class to discuss a paper. I like the way in which we submit our essays. He gives us topics to write about that we are passionate about or find interesting

  He was very helpful with teaching proper grammar. He has a great system with essay due dates. He has due dates every few days for each paragraph so they are done on time and in installments, which if submitted on time is 50% or that essays grade. There is one required debate in class on a cool subject and one required group presentation. Cool guy.

  I really liked him and the class until I got my final grade. It's hard to tell where you stand throughout the semester. I feel like I deserved a better grade but had no records of my assignment grades so was hard to argue with him over it. He's a nice guy and the class is interesting at times, it just sucks I worked hard to not get the best grade

  One of my favorite professors. First day of class he scared the whole class to death telling us how much reading, writing, and presenting we would have to do. However, he really made sure each of us were prepared for every activity he had us do. Very very smart, but is great at teaching and not having a condescending attitude.

  I was scared to take journalism because I never took anything like it before but I'm so glad I did! Wheeler is a fantastic professor mostly because you can tell how much he loves what he does. You do have to read a couple of textbooks, but they're not difficult in the slightest and you get the questions to the quiz posted beforehand. Super easy.

  He's probably the most chilliest, laid back teacher's at UT. He is super cool, he never gets mad. Despite teaching at very fast rate, he makes the class interesting. Participation is key in his class. The work is super easy. He sit-down and gives you on spot corrections. Probably the best if not the best professor I've had.

  This teacher is soooo chill. He sticks to a pretty clear regime, and you can easily predict what class is going to be like on a week to week basis. Make sure to pay attention to your dropbox notes and his website every week. He can be forgetful, don't be afraid to raise your hand and ask a question about a due date. You should participate
